In 1985, Gary M. Holloway founded GMH Associates, Inc., a full-service commercial real estate company. Over the next twenty-five years, he grew GMH to include many other real estate ventures including military housing, student housing, and corporate real estate management servicing. In 2004, GMH took their military and student housing companies public, trading under the symbol GCT on the New York Stock Exchange. In 2008, GCT was sold for approximately $2 billion. Mr. Holloway then created GMH Ventures, a private equity platform focusing on operating company acquisitions and management as well as company platform originations. It is out of this division that GMH Mortgage Services was developed.
GMH Mortgage Services was established in September of 2008 to fill a void in the middle-market mortgage banking industry. Since then, GMH has built a state-of-the-art lending platform that produces a risk-adverse conduit to the secondary market. With over 100 combined years of experience among their Corporate and Branch offices, GMH has the knowledge and experience to guide you through the mortgage process and all its changes, whether you are a first-time homebuyer or refinancing your previous home loan. Best of all, GMH is a mortgage banker, not a mortgage broker, meaning we take your application, process, underwrite and fund your loan in-house. We serve as a direct lender to all the major mortgage servicers.
Your experience will start with one of our licensed mortgage experts specializing in a variety of loan programs to meet every borrower’s unique need (refer to our Mortgage Loan Products page for more information). Your assigned mortgage originator will work through the details of your application with you, ensuring you receive the best deal possible and that you understand every step you’ll need to take along the path to your successful loan closing.
After your application has been completed, your loan file will be assigned to your own dedicated Loan Processor. They will work with you to submit any required documents to our talented staff of in-house Underwriters. Once your file has been submitted, your assigned Underwriter will review your file and issue either a final loan approval or a conditional loan approval. From there, you’ll continue to work with your dedicated Loan Processor to get your home loan cleared and scheduled to close.
